About Me

My name is Carlye and this blog is for all things that make me... well, me!  I am trying to make my world a better place for myself and those around me!  So, on here I plan on talking about any and everything that interests me; fashion, health (getting there... it takes time), design, DIY projects, family and friends!  This is a new journey in my world and I cannot wait to see where it takes me!

I was born and raised in Easton, MD.  I moved away for a while to go to college at East Carolina University.  I ended up transferring to Salisbury University for my last year and graduating with a BFA in Dance and English.  While I didn't graduate from ECU, I will always be a Pirate!

My family is the number 1 priority in my world!  I have the best family a girl could have ever asked for!  My dad, Matt, is one of 6 Guthrie children.  My Grandfather and Grandmother are two of my favorite people in the world.  Their lives inspire me to work hard and do better every day.  This side of my family can be crazy... but that is what makes me love them that much more!

My mother, Traci, is one of three Abbott girls!  God help me if my parents gave me any sisters... I am thankful for my brother lol... I am incredibly close with both of my aunts and have actually lived with both of them!  My mom and I are almost identical (literally) and I am constantly being called Traci.  She is the reason that I am the way that I am; sarcastic, witty, stubborn, friendly, loving and loyal.

For the past two years I have been living with my Aunt Liz and Uncle Nut.  This past October my Uncle lost his 10+ year battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.  I cannot explain how thankful I am to have had the past two years to spend time with him.  My Aunt and Uncle's love is one for the books-- and if I can be half the woman/wife that my Aunt Liz was to him I will be a happy girl.  Uncle Nut-- I love you so much, and miss you more and more every day!  Your outlook on life is something that will inspire me forever!

Throughout high school and college I have been able to maintain the best friendships!  My friends joke and say I will have a hell of a time when I will need to choose bridesmaids lol... But, these people are the ones who get me through my life.  I cannot go a day without talking to one of them, and I will forever be grateful for their friendships!  I love all of you!

So... that is a little bit about me! I hope you enjoy this journey as much as I plan to!  Here we go!!
