This Is 40

Had a great date night with Miss Brittany Harris last night! She took me to a movie-- how sweet :) We went and saw "This Is 40" in Cambridge. The movie was really funny, a little more serious than I thought it would be, but good! It did make me a little scared about getting older! As Grandma Molly says in the movie "one minute you are 40 and then you blink and you are 90! Don't blink!" I don't want to blink!!

Like I said, the movie was good, but the theater experience was exceptional!! Not only did we get to sit in a pretty empty theater (besides us there were three other couples and a casual family of 80 children under the age of 12 in the back), but we also got to smell the sweet smells of feet and what could only be described as mold and moth balls combined lol... The family of children (ps this movie is NOT appropriate for children) loved to talk the whole time. "Mommy I have to go potty!" "Mommy I want popcorn!" "Mommy I want to go home!" The father even answered his phone during the movie! A theater employee came into the theater about 10 mins into the movie and walked, pretty aggressively, to the thermostat in the corner and jacked it up to, what felt like, 90 degrees! Thankfully, we were warned that the movie was about to be over by the lights coming on.

Overall, this was an amazing girls night! We laughed a lot at the movie and the situation!! Cannot wait to do it again girrrrl!

  1. I would really like to see this movie again being as we missed the beginning. Maybe I'll wait till it's out on DVD so I can watch it in the privacy of my home and enjoy the luxury of sweet smells and comfortable temperatures.

    Great blog Carletta.
